Environmental consulting is a core discipline at STS — not a secondary service bolted on to geotechnical. Contaminated land assessment, Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, remediation management, and compliance reporting are delivered by the same committed team, with the same rigour as our geotechnical work.
Where a project involves both geotechnical and environmental risk — a brownfield development, a contaminated industrial site, or a site with complex ground conditions and legacy contamination — STS manages both streams from a single point of contact. There is no internal handoff between departments, and no external referral to separate consultants.
Field drilling, intrusive sampling, and monitoring well installation are carried out by GeoSense, our in-house drilling arm, so the data behind every environmental recommendation comes from our own crews, not a disconnected subcontractor.
